January 5, 2009: Warm Canada?!

We trained GS today at Norquay in surprisingly mild temps, about 30 degrees warmer than when we trained there three days ago! Since we’ve been training with the Canadian National Team, we were able to set a dual course and race head-to-head, something I haven’t trained in a while.

My dual first run was nerve-filled and I fell in the steep part. But after focusing on a few key technical things, the rest of my runs got better as the day progressed and by the end of the day I felt solid and confident on my board and in the course. All in all it was a great day of training in amazing weather. Very happy!
