November 25, 2009: Good Day in Gates

Fugen, Austria – Today we trained on the race hill which, despite its flatness, was somewhat challenging because the speed was a bit slow so maintaining balance was difficult, and the snow was a bit inconsistent. Coach Mark said my upper body was disciplined and that my toeside turns were good but I was getting a little greedy on my heelsides and cutting them off (I DQ’d a few times). The course was fairly open and easy, so overall it was a decent day and I felt good on my board. I think my freeriding for the past few days have been really helpful.
